District 7020 Area Governor for Jamaica Southwest
 
She is a fellow of the Life Management Institute (F.L.M. I), a Chartered Life Underwriter (C.L.U), a Chartered Financial Consultant (CH.F.C), a Financial Services Certified Professional (FSCP), a certified teacher of English and Mathematics, with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences with language and literature from the University of the West Indies, as well as a Master’s in Business Administration from Nova South-eastern University.
She joined the Life Insurance Industry in 1983, moved through the ranks from Sales Agent to Unit Manager to Branch Manager to a Regional Sales Director with NCB Insurance Company in Jamaica. She has been awarded most company and Industry Awards in her illustrious career, qualified for Million Dollar Round Table on several occasions and she copped the prestigious award of 'Man of the Year' from the Life Underwriter's Association of Jamaica for the year 2000. Presently the Executive Branch Manager of Chancellor Insurance Agency in Mandeville.
She is a Past President of the Jamaica Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (JAIFA) and the Caribbean Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (CARAIFA) and was inducted in the prestigious CARAIFA Hall of Fame 2006. She currently holds the position of Secretary General of CARAIFA. She copped the boss of the year award for Jamaica in 1995 awarded by the Secretary’s Association of Jamaica and has been a motivational speaker in many Caribbean Islands including Jamaica, Barbados, Grand Cayman, Grenada, St. Vincent, St Lucia inter alia.
She has taught for over forty-two (42) years at the secondary and tertiary levels including Church Teachers College and the Management Institute for National Development (MIND).
 
This is a lady of many “firsts”: -
  • First female president of the Rotary Club of Mandeville and has been a Rotarian for the last fifteen (15) years and is now the Assistant Governor of Jamaica Southwest in District 7020.
  • First female president of the Caribbean Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (CARAIFA)
  • First female Secretary General of CARAIFA, a position she still holds today
  • First and only female President of the oldest golf club in the Western Hemisphere – Manchester Golf & Country Club in existence for over 180 years (even though she never played golf)
  • First Financial Services Certified Professional (FSCP) graduate in the Caribbean
She is a member of the board of the Mandeville Primary and Junior high School for over twenty (20) years and was the Vice President who chaired the finance committee and is now the Chairman of that School Board.
A lecturer, a financial advisor, a motivator, CARAIFA’s Hall of Famer, and a personality who wears many hats, married with two (2) children whose motto and guiding principle is “Justice and fair play for all mankind” and believes in the Rotary motto “Service above Self
